On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the “2025 MEMORIAD™ Turkey 10th Mental Arithmetic Championship,” sponsored by Batıkent Seviye Schools in Ankara Batıkent, showcased the outstanding achievements of children in mental mathematics. A total of 148 students aged 5-13, who had passed the qualifying rounds from various cities across Turkey, demonstrated their talents, challenging screen addiction.

In this meaningful event, 9-year-old Mustafa Salih Özdemir became the Turkish Mental Arithmetic Champion with a score of 9974 points; 8-year-old Uzay Kaya took second place with 7162 points, and 10-year-old Ömer Selim Köksal secured third place with 6845 points. These young mathematical prodigies not only improved their concentration but also offered a hopeful alternative to modern-day problems such as social media and screen addiction.

Organized by the "Memoriad World Brain Sports Federation," a leader in the field of mental sports, the competition reminded families and children once again of the importance of activities that can help improve brain development by enhancing focus skills, going beyond simply overcoming screen addiction.

This championship, supported by Batıkent Seviye Schools, aimed to provide children with an innovative platform for mental development and social interaction, while also offering families a conscious roadmap. This event, which resonated throughout Turkey, stands out as a significant step shaping the future of society.

We will continue to save our children from getting lost in front of screens with the miracles of mental mathematics.
